The Referee

I mentioned about the Headbutt by the Algeria Goalie during the recent African Nations Cup Semi against Egypt.   The Referee Coffi Codjia has been suspended indefinitely  not acting on this during the game, and failing to report this in his match report.

There will be a hearing for Codjia and the goalkeeper next month and both face bans.  Given that CAF has banned Togo for the next 2 tournaments for being attacked by machine gun’s I wouldn’t expect a lot of tolerance.
