The Referee

A flash suit and expensive car doesn’t make a great salesman. Buzzer flags and the latest kit & boots dont make a great Referee. However the flash suit & car helps give the salesman the right first impression. If your starting out dont go and spend a lot of money on expensive kit. A lot of the suppliers like the RA do provide starter kits where you get the minimum what you need to start. As your enjoying it you can reinvest your match fee’s in to more kit. When I first started I remember everything i purchased cost around £70 and this was a RA kit, bag, cards etc so its not cheap to start with, but is made back after a few games. Plus the FA now do incentive schemes where you collect points for games and can redeem these against kit.
