Polar Heart Rate

Recently my Polar RS200 heart rate monitor died.  Well it didn’t so much die but the battery went in the heart rate strap.   However while trying to open up the back I managed to take a chunk out of it and couldn’t get the back off!

I sent it away to Polar on Saturday for repair expecting to get a bill for the repair.  I was willing to pay after all, I killed it.   However I was happily surprised to come home on Wednesday to find it at home and repaired…..free!  Excellent service!

A tip that was enclosed was to ensure it was dry when you have finished with it (sounds gross but I do tend to take it off have a shower and forget about it) and to unclip the transmit.  The reason being as its wet and connected it keeps the electrodes live and deteriorates them and reduces the life of the battery.
