To Hot!
In a complete contracts to last weeks game where it rained constantly all day, today it has been far to hot. Those people who talk about having summer football havent ran around in that.
At Ilkeston today the sun was blaring down on me for the whole 90 minutes with no shade or breeze. It was particulary pleasent.
Anyway to the game itself. It wasnt the best game ever, Ossett took the lead in the first half however if their strikers could have stayed onside for more than 5 minutes they may have gone on and got more. My right arm was like a toaster and I must have flagged for about 8 offsides in thaat first half. I also for some reason I still dont know why flagged the wrong way on a throw in. I really dont know why as I knew which way I was meant to flag but for some reason went the wrong way! Unfortunatly Mr Assesor picked up on it as well!
At half time I swapped my shirt and cool down ready for the 2nd half. Ilkeston tried to get a leveller but couldnt find one and then in stoppage time Ossett got a 2nd to win 2-0.
With about 15 minutes to go my lower back started to ache, im not sure if its the hard pitch or what, but its rather sore now. Hopefully it will be fine for Monday when I referee Oadby vs Barwell in the MFA.
